Aspire Living - Supporting people

We are Aspire.  We support people with learning disabilities and other special needs and have 30 years’ experience doing so!
We believe all the people we support should receive the support they want tailored to their needs, and we provide this in the following ways:

Home support – Our dedicated and highly skilled home support teams in Herefordshire, Worcestershire and Gloucestershire provide support and personal care to adults living in their own homes.  This support includes day to day activities, maintaining their tenancies and ensuring that the people we support are able to exercise choice and control over everything they do.

People Out Doing Stuff (PODS) –
Our community support teams support people to access local facilities and social activities in Herefordshire, Worcestershire and Gloucestershire, promoting social and community inclusion.  Our support workers help people to develop and maintain skills and independence.  All our support is person-centred and you choose what you want to do.  Regular activities include swimming, shopping, bingo, karaoke and volunteering.

Homes for life –
We support people with complex needs in our ‘homes for life’, one in Hereford and one in Ross-on-Wye.  The specialist teams have a wide range of skills.  They provide support to enable these individuals maintain independence, take part in their community and access a wide range of social activities.

Improving well-being –
We arrange regular coffee mornings, trips out and holidays in the UK and overseas for the people we support.  Our Aspire Community Hub in Hereford is the heart and soul of what we’re about.  It’s fully accessible to everyone and offers completely inclusive regular activities, as well as being a starting point for community activity.  It has an Internet Café, a doodle bar, an art studio and a workshop, as well as some quieter spaces and a lovely sensory garden.  Our gardening club grow fruit and vegetables, which we use in our healthy lunches prepared on site by Bake and Create.
