Aspire turns 30 years’ old this week and we celebrated in style with an ‘Aspire in Wonderland’ themed Birthday Party at our Aspire Community Hub on Wednesday 17 May.
The Hub was transformed into Wonderland with home-made decorations from across Aspire! The staff teams and people we support embraced our theme and in their costumes they were unrecognisable! Famous guests included: The Mad Hatter, The White Rabbit, The Queen of Hearts, Alice herself and… Batman!
Nothing could dampen our spirits, not even the very wet weather!
Delicious, locally sourced food was enjoyed by all, especially our beautiful 30th Birthday cake, lovingly made by the very talented Bonnie Collins from Bake & Create. Bonnie really outdid herself as she and her team also prepared, cooked and served our scrumptious Barbecue lunch. Over 350 burgers and hot dogs were served in total!
Our musical maestro for the day was our very own resident DJ Garry Pegrum, courtesy of Black Knight Entertainment.
The event was a fantastic success! We can’t wait until next year to do it all again!
